Food packaging is undeniably very important. Despite its importance, it can often be overlooked and separated from food production.

Based on annual results from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in the USA, 48 million people get sick, of them 128 thousand are hospitalized and 3 thousand die from foodborne diseases.

Even more worrying are the results on a global scale. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), within a year, 600 million people could contract foodborne diseases, with 420 thousand possible deaths.

Food packaging can provide safety and ensure the quality and shelf life of Food, through protective packaging technologies.

This technology can control the micro-organisms that are present in the food, as well as the pathogenic micro-organisms that are the cause of foodborne diseases.

Unfortunately, it has not been implemented yet, given the production costs it has to produce packaging, and we still operate in the traditional way.

However, food and consumer safety is very important.
